LOCAL PLAN AND BOROUGH GREEN GARDEN CITY CONSULTATION

At a Local Plan meeting last night in Wrotham, Matt Boughton, Leader of TMBC, pledged that if enough responses were received protecting Greenbelt it would sway the decision. So even if you just email " Stop Borough Green Garden City and Save Our Greenbelt" to localplan@tmbc.gov.uk we could avalanche a win. Much more about the Local Plan and how to respond on the Parish Council website link below

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MARLEY SITE SKULDUGGERY (still)  RULES OK!
You may recall the criminal behaviour of Planners when the Local Development Framework approved Iasles Quarry West housing.

You may recall the scandal of TMBC Planners meeting with the Borough Green Garden City Consortium who when challenged with Freedom of Information Request had discovered that no one had any notes, minutes, emails or any other record of this huge project - perhaps they memorised it all. But I have never yet met Planning Officers without them all scribbling away diligently in their notebooks.

We had hoped that since the old Planning Crew at TMBC had left/ retired/ sacked we might now have an honest and transparent Planning Department, but nothing seems to have changed.

Wrotham PC lodged an FOI into meetings between TMBC and Pannatoni, the Marley Site developer. This time they have actually produced an agenda and one set of minutes. The minutes are for a meeting 12 May 2022, and refer to a meeting in August 2021 (no records of the meeting).

When will TMBC remember that the Planning Department are employed by us, and we have a right IN LAW to know what they are up to, we need to know what they are agreeing on our behalf.

Our old friend Alec Broad has sadly passed away. One of the real characters who make village life such a joy, Goodbye, old mate.

CLARION LEASEHOLDERS- Have you had an unreasonable Roof Repair Demand? We are organising a Joint Response. email Mike

Below : At least she will be able to tell her children what it was like before the bulldozers moved in and changed this into 3000 houses.

Apparently there was a meeting of High Level Council Leaders and the like, discussing Proposed Boundary changes. Leader of Sevenoaks said that it was likely that Ightham, Wrotham and Stansted would become part of Sevenoaks, and someone asked "Why not Borough Green?". The Leader of Sevenoaks Council said :

" Borough Green? - NEVER - Borough Green is trouble on steroids".

I feel so proud, should we adopt this as a Village Coat of Arms?
